Rain Delays

Is there anything more profound than a rain delay? I love the stream of consciousness of the broadcasters. Who knows how long the delay will last. There is no rehearsed segments, no interviews, which are informative, but with a rain delay, like today for example, anything goes. Especially the true feelings. Ray Fosse was correct in his dispeasure of football. He really is a hardcore baseball guy. And he was correct in that the focus should be on baseball to the bitter end. I'm actually glad football season has started, because now it's the time for the true baseball fans to watch this gritty pennant race.

Aw man, I missed that part.
What did Fosse say about football?

Fosse and Football
He was just commenting on players focusing too much on Fantasy Football etc. It wasn't a blistering commentary on football, he was just reminding the guys that Baseball was primary. Which it is.

LOL
I did hear that football conversation.  And since I'm not a football fan, I found it hilarious.  I think it was Korach or Bitcker who said something like how they have a five hour pregame show.

i liked the part
where they were making fun of football announcers, like "that's a great football player, running(?) north and south," even tho i'm not too familiar with that expression.

Korach is great, IMO.

Brent Jones leading the FootballMoneyball movement
during yesterday's Bills-Texans telecast, the former Niners TE was complaining about the simplicity of traditional football stats, saying that yardage totals don't really tell the whole story...I was kind of surprised to hear insight like that out of an ex-player, especially one who I was holding a grudge against for making every 2004 Raider WR sound like a Pro Bowler during last year's Bills-Raiders game Week 2 (I'm an A's fan, not an Oakland fan).  Brent didn't really go as far as to suggest new stats or anything, but he did endorse red zone efficiency % (which separated the Bills from 9-7 and being a Super Bowl contender last year).  Anyway, I know this thread was actually anti-football, just thought I'd mention that
