AN Comic: Eric Byrnes - Super Hero! (FINAL EDITION)

Eric Byrnes was always a little different - the fans knew it, opposing pitchers knew it, and his teammates always thought there was something odd about the man they called 'Byrnsie'.

Just last week, it was widely reported that Byrnes had leapt "on a clubhouse table half-naked and perform a dance straight out of Chippendale's". But nothing energized the A's fans like his debut as Eric Byrnes Super-Hero!

Part One dealt with Eric's intensity and struggles against right-handed pitching.
Part Two investigated his darker side and teammates' odd fascination with his antics.

Now we learn the secret we all were craving - who is Byrnes' nemesis! It was Billy Beane all along! Billy Beane, GM Extraordinnaire (coming soon) used his own superpowers and transported Byrnes off the team and into sole possession of last place - in the rarified air of Denver!

But don't let anybody know how easy it is to make them, or we'll have cheap imposters everywhere! I'm going to miss having Byrnes as a poster child for silliness and unpredictability.

Now we need another comic

in a few days with Payton doing his 'Byrnes' impression, and Bobby Kielty deciding to stand up and replace Byrnes, by literaly liting his own hair on fire. Consiquently, no one notices.

The Comics Won't Go Away

Beane is a geek here - I even had the file named beane_smug.jpg on my computer. Of course, I'm also partial to "Vengeance is Mine!"

Can you believe Byrnsie would do that to Chavez? I had no idea until I saw it in print!

One of a Kind

How did we make it through 3 episodes of "Eric Byrnes Superhero" without his part-time role of foiling fans who jump the wall to run around the field? Byrnsie followed that up by basically saying "Up yours, Macha!" when the skipper intimated that Byrnes should leave that to security personnel.

Byrnsie, he is definitely one of a kind.

On the topic of ideas, I've got one. What if there was a comic about the time he caught that guy running on the field and then up the wall.

Olympian Amil Gartenamo, world record holder in both the javelin and the hundred yard dash--only person who ever died by throwing a spear into his own back.
