Money where your mouth is... Blez... Nico?
I got a hundred bucks says Byrnes outhits Kotsay versus righties this year. I'll give you 2 out of 3... AVG OBP SLG. Kotsay wins 2 out of 3, I pay you... Byrnes wins 2 out of 3 (regardless of which team he plays for), you pay me... we on? If Kotsay is so good, this will be a no-brainer bet for both of you, right?

Has Anyone Noticed......
Fact is, that Swisher may end up being the best hitting OF we've got vs. 80% of the pitchers the A's see.

where is your guarentee you will pay
Also you would probably need to clear up some ground rules, ie what if someone has a season ending injury, do you just take their stats from what they have done to that point. I'm sure there are 300 other strange things that could happen in which someone would want to back out. Lay down some rules, make me believe you can pay up and I'll let you know if I'm in.

Reading Stats
Byrnes
102 ab
.206 avg
.287 obp
.363 slg
Kotsay
208 ab
.260 avg
.316 obp
.389 slg
if PT continues along present trends, Byrnes will finish the year with 230 ab v RH and Kots will have 468. If Kotsay continues to play like he has, Byrnes would have to hit .303, .339, .410 the rest of the way to tie Kotsay in each category. Conversely, if Byrnes continues to play like he has, Kotsay would have to hit .163, .264, .342 to fall to Byrnes' level. Truthfully, though, both sets of numbers are too high, since if Byrnes played that will he would get more PT and if Kotsay played that poorly, he would get less.
Isn't the notion
I'm confident you'll look foolsh come October, but equally confident there's no way anyone will be able to collect on any bets. 'Tis the magic of the internet, where everyone is honorable until collection time.
Foolish,
But please email me. I want $100.
