"Player to be Named Later"
After reading a note in spring training about this documentary "Player to be named later", I finally got a chance to check it out.
The documentary follows the Indianapolis Indians (Brewers AAA) throughout the 2001 season, focusing on the difficulties of minor league baseball, and the effect on the players families.
Several players are followed, but the true star of the film is Marco Scutaro. If you didn't love him already, I guarantee you will now. Such a great person, you're really pulling for him to make it (and its all the better knowing that he does). From the interviews with his wife talking about the struggles of adapting to America, to watching him play with remote control cars, you get a great look at the kind of guy he is.
Alex Sanchez plays a very minor role, and you kind of get an idea why no teams want him.
All in all, a great film, and must see for any Scutaro fans.

His Wife is Really Adorable
There's a scene near the end where Marco is told he won't be called up at the end of the season. (I hope I'm not giving away too much here.) It's positively heartbreaking to watch. I wanted to take the guy in my arms and tell him: "Marco. It's going to be alright. Really, it's going to be alright."
Everytime he has a great moment in a game -- like that walk off hit against the Mets -- I think back to that scene.

Awesome movie
It's a must see
There's a picture of Kotsay's wife, Jamie, in a recent issue of the ESPN Magazine, where they asked questions about Mark to his wife and Chavvy. She's a hottie! I also saw here in Phoenix at Spring Training this year with their new baby girl. She's a cutie too!
does anyone have this pic?

I'm a big Scoot fan
But Scoot is just the cutest all around package. Loved by the fans, loved by his teammates, a great player who gives it his all every game, and he looks GREAT in the Green and Gold!
What more could you ask for?!?
Sorry for going on and on. I just love Scutaro!
