Open Game Thread: Game 80 - A's at New York (cont.)

A's up 4-0 going to the top of the 7th, thanks to some near-no-hit work by Haren Gaudin and HRs from Swisher Kendall, Cust Stewart, and Johnson ... wait. Too strikethrough-happy there. Johnson.

Don't look now, but
while Crosby now sits at (a pathetic) .232/.281 Kendall is now up to (an also pathetic) .226/.261.

The race for ridiculously bad A's hitter looks to be a barn-burner this year!

Swisher ALMOST hit that
exact same shot yesterday and if he had cleared Melky yesterday we probaby would have won.

But now...Our luck is turning...Seriously, I'm gunning for 7-2 going into the ASB, starting with today, then Haren coming up big tomorrow and a 5-2 homestand.

And boy do we need it!

Because

(1) he has too much trade value to cut outright; but

(3) it's not worth making a trade for only a small improvement.

Or at least that's how I interpret what they keep telling me....

And/or just to piss off Jeff Pearlman.

But just because something can be plotted on an X and Y axis does not make it the whole truth. @('.')@

It's a marketing measurement

of a celeb's name/face recognition and +/- favorability.  Around here, for example, Mark Ellis would rate a 38, say, to Larry Davis' 0.1

Gulp. In what is sure to be an affront to

FSU's handle on his birthday, Fosse just announced that a SINGLE game ticket in the front row of the new Yankee stadium will be $2,500.00 dollars.  And there is already a waiting list.

That's a lot of money to pay
to watch Scott Proctor, Andy Phillips, and Ron Villone.
I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal

Well, Giambi might limp out and sign

for you.  Wait, he won't be around when the park opens.  My bad.

Yes!! I have an insatiable desire to hear the

sound of knuckles crashing into flesh....followed by the bleating of Kuiper asking Fosse "why Foss, why?"

Makes me wonder if Foss has even tried diplomacy.

Glen, let's have a little talk about baseball culture...

So true.

Even when the Yankees suck like this year...it feels BIG.

The only sad part is

watching Rich pitch makes you think about what might have been. Oh well.
