I have a big problem.
Last night, nervous, I told myself that I wouldn't look at the game until I was sure that it was over. I came in, saw that it was 9-5, and believed that I'd stay until it was over, believing that we would win. As everyone knows... we didn't. I went to bed feeling like I had been sucker-punched in the stomach, totally miserable, and took a long time to fall asleep.

So I swore that I wouldn't make the same mistake tonight. I wouldn't look until tomorrow. I got all the way to 11:40 (ET) without going to any baseball site whatsoever. But then I had to check on the Cardinals, my second favorite (who are not doing so well :() and then I told myself I could check on how the Angels were doing. Then, of course... I went to see how the A's were doing....

And here I am.

I am addicted. It is bad.

I am happy.
So very happy.  I flew out to Oakland to watch the three games against the Angels.  Friday was amazing.  The afternoon games left me bitter.  Now I am happy.  Very happy.

let chavvy get most of the days off, but DH a few times (and rest frank on those days). let melhuse get at least half the rest of the starts at catcher. and do not pitch harden until the playoffs, where we pitch him in game 2.

what a range of emotions
last night was the worst night of the season for me personally.  Now everything has done a complete 180 and didn't have to wait 162 games.
