Apparently our bullpen is not allowed to come in before the fifth inning. Zito goes 5, allows four runs, and is very lucky it wasn't more.

Frank Thomas continues his awesomeness, and Mini-Frank and Franchise also homered.

A's leading 6-4, but it's not enough. Once again, we need our offense to be Texas', since our starting pitching already is.

But about leaving Zito in, c'mon. If Macha followed AN's advice, every starter would go 4 innings and then be "batter to batter"--and all our relievers would be on the DL, tired, or ineffective, while Witasick and Sauerbeck would be getting the high-leverage innings.

Unbelievable
When is this team ever going to learn how to get a runner home from third with less than 2 outs.  This is pathetic.  I blame Macha and the players for this inability because this has been the case for at least the past three years.  REALLY PISSING ME OFF.  JUST PATHETIC.  By the way Kendall back to sucking in this series against the Devil Rays another reason for no contract extensions.

I like the way Macha
played it today with his pitchers. The outs Zito got were outs our non-front end guys would have to have gotten. If Zito doesn't make a retarded 0-2 pitch, he has a quality start. As it is, we're into the good part of our pen with just few enough outs to get to go exclusively with the guys we want in there.

This game should easily be 8-3.  This is the worst the A's have played all season.  Maybe those Angel fans are right and we are going to blow this thing.  Cause if we play like this against the Twins we will get swept (again).  Really terribly watching them play this way.
