It is absolutely, positively, automatic for women to check out a man's ring finger. It is almost engrained in our DNA to see if a man is married, even if we are not even slightly interested!

Thomas at the Coliseum

I've heard several stories about how poorly Thomas performs on the road. But, his stats here in Oakland are actually pretty damned good:

AB: 253
HR: 16 (tied with Fenway for most HR for a road stadium)
BA: .304
OBP: .433
SLG: .553

I'd bet his success here influenced his decision.

not too bad

even if this were his regular season stats, if he had to get injured and only get that many ABs, it would be a pretty good season, besides the shortness of it.
