Open Thread: Game 95 - A's at Texas (cont.)

That Mark Ellis play was the highlight of the evening for me.  Watching Leno-chin Rogers take a tumble was hilarious.

LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!  COME ALL THE WAY BACK!!!

If it were up to me,
I'd say "good job" and call it a night for Blanton after 5 (92 pitches, 95 degrees). That's my official call.

Pitch wise,
that was Blanton's best inning.  1 single, 3 outs 10 pitches.  Maybe he's found his groove.  I'd let him start the sixth and go from there.

If you can guarnantee that, I'm down.
But you can't.  You assume that some else will come in and mow down the Rangers 1,2,3.  Yabu is likely the one to come in, and I don't see him doing that.  Give the kid another chance, he gives up a hit pull him.  Show some confidence in the guy, you might be surprised what he shows.

On baseball tonight
they said pitching was the reason for the turnaround.  They also said classic laughers like "Before, they had Dotel, who didn't even want the ball, and now they have some rookie who's DYING for the ball".   Also, they said that Beane was telling one of those shmucks that they were just trying to field a team in May, not even a good team - too many injuries.  WIth Crotchby coming back, everyone started clicking.  They also said that the A's will win the World Series and that the A's had a pending deal to get Albert Pujols.

One of those sentences above is a lie.  Can you guess which one?

A 4 game series against the Rangers can really wear out your bullpen. So what if Kennedy throws all those pitches? You get what you can out of him and avoid using the more quality guys right now.

Man Kennedy has four walks in less than two
innings.  Geez.  Why not use Calero? Is he only used when we are ahead?

Solve an arguement for my brother and I...
WHich is more vintage Rincon

Choice 1:  A's up 3-2, comes in to face G. Anderson or R. Palmiero and gives up bases clearing 3 run double off right field wall.

OR

Choice 2:  Comes in to face 1 lefty and walks him...

Make your choice and help us out

Chavez has looked bad just swinging the bat. He
fouls so many meat pitches off.  Two meat pitches and all he can do is foul it off
