When did the drums/"Let's Go Oakland" cheer begin?

These are questions for long-time fans:

  • Was the "Let's go Oakland" chant as common during the Bash Bros era? I know it's a fairly standard chant used by many teams/cities or various sports, but it's definitely a signature chant for A's fans. When did it become the most common chant with A's fans?
  • When did the drummers appear in the bleachers? I recall them in the early 2000s, but where they around in the 90s and earlier?
  • Also just for fun, when did you first attend an A's game?
