Why do so many A's arms get hurt? Are the A's an outlier or are they doing something wrong with kids?

I am no expert but I have followed the A's closely since they came to town in 1968 and I Iistened to Catfish Hunter's perfect game in May of that year. And then on Mother's Day a couple of years ago, I was in row 4 down the 3rd baseline to watch Dallas Braden's perfecto. But look at the young arms…many many seem to go down over the last few years. Have any of you done an analysis of the A's arms that have fallen? Are the A's an outlier or is this happening with young arms everywhere? Are we rushing them?

I look forward to your thoughts, but also seeing if anyone has actually looked at this statistically?

Thanks
