DLD 7/5/13: On The Road Again

USA TODAY Sports

Links before the A's open up a three-game set at the K.

Jeff Francoeur is now a free agent. Hopefully he signs with a team that will visit the Coliseum again this year.

Brett Anderson could be back eventually.

Here's one that requires no description.

Ryan Cook, Sean Doolittle and Jerry Blevins visited Nick LeGrande today. Nick threw the first pitch via robot back on June 12 vs the Yankees.

Cook was playing NHL with Nick for an hour. This photo can only be described as "d'aww".

Today's starting lineup is out, with Yoenis Cespedes moved down to the sixth spot with hopes of snapping out of his funk. He was slumping when the A's made their last trip to Kansas City until he did this.

On this day a year ago, the A's had a home off-day. It was one of the two off-days created when the games in Japan were set up. The other off-day was a rare Sunday off on April 8. Since there was no DLD yesterday, here's a look at what the A's did last year on Independence Day.
