Angels, Facts of Life Edition

You know, it's kind of sad to see Pujols up there. He looks awful. But it's not sad to remember his contract. In fact, looking at it makes A's fans really happy. You know the information, but like pictures of cute puppies, sometimes it puts a smile on your face to look at it, again and again and again. So here is what the Angels owe Albert Pujols looking forward: 2013 $16M 2014 $23M 2015 $24M 2016 $25M 2017 $26M 2018 $27M 2019 $28M 2020 $29M 2021 $30M You know what else makes me happy? Looking at Josh Hamilton's contract information. Hamilton is making $17 million both this year and next year. But then in both 2015 and 2016 he'll make $25 million and in 2017 he'll make $32 million. Through the power of addition, that means that in 2017 the Angels will pay $58 million just for Pujols and Hamilton. This makes me smile.
