Sweep Thursday? The A's look to continue both their home winning streak in general, and a home winning streak against the Yankees dating back to last July. They'll have to do it without Cespedes and Crisp, however, who both remain out of the lineup.

Game #68: A’s outlast Yankees in 18 innings, 3-2

Yawn. Just your average unscheduled doubleheader today, as the A’s completed a four three game sweep of the Yankees at home. Jesse Chavez turned in a miraculous 5.2 innings of shutdown relief, and Nate Freiman delivered the late-inning heroics against Mariano Rivera, one of his boyhood idols. It is the second game this year that the A’s have won in double regulation.
