This afternoon I was bored for awhile, so I decided to check the MLB TR on my phone. Shocker! Today, Chris Carter, Brad Peacock, and Max Stassi were sent to our new division rivals, the Houston Astros. In return, we received SS Jed Lowrie, and bullpen depth (I guess, if you can call it that) in reliever Fernando Rodriguez. This trade actually is kind of weird on these levels.
Brandon Moss is our only first baseman, unless we call up some body. Plan B is calling up Daric Barton, which I'm totally against in calling up to the big league club, due to he sucks so bad. Should I expect a trade for a backup first baseman, to platoon once again with Brandon Moss. What I've been thinking, the A's could trade one of the outfield players. I'd assume Chris Young might be the most valuable player to trade. Thanks ANers for listening and please comment below.
