So I was looking on facebook and on the A's page just posted I see this.

The Oakland A’s acquired infielder Jed Lowrie and right-handed pitcher Fernando Rodriguez from the Houston Astros for first baseman Chris Carter, right-handed pitcher Brad Peacock and minor league catcher Max Stassi.

So we traded Carter, Peacock, and Stassi for another middle infielder and Fernando Rodriguez. This move makes absolutely no sense to me. I trust Billy Beane and his decisions usually, but this one just makes no sense.
