I've heard time and time again, you can never have too much pitching. Today, the A's signed another major league pitcher to a minor league deal, with a spring training invitation in
Hideki Okajima. Last year, Okajima spent his 2012 season in the Japanese league. He did extremely well, posting an ERA under 1. (Courtesy of MLB TR)
Now from
Bartolo Colon's point of view, he has a buddy he could talk to about a failed drug test. The last physical Hideki Okajima has taken, was for a major league team would've sent him from the
Boston Red Sox to the
New York Yankees, earlier last year in February. (http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/story/_/id/7585889/hideki-okajima-flunked-physical-new-york-yankees.) (how can you show your face after doing something like that, seriously?) Either that, or Bartolo doesn't want to share his drugs with Hideki!
