I noticed a couple days ago that Pete Gallego took Quico Canseco's place representing a large chunk of West Texas in the House on Thursday, when the new Congress began. Both guys are Mexican-Americans, and apparently no one has caught on to the late '80s/early '90s A's connection. I wonder if Pete or Quico know they have A's counterparts. I have no dazzling or snarky comments here, but does anyone remember Mike replacing Jose during a game? Mike did hit .442 in April of '89, when Jose was out of action.
