Baseball Reference now allows you to search for stats leaders in a plethora of splits. I got bored one day. Alternate title for this post: Mitch Albom's nightmare.

I blame the great Rany Jazayerli for this post.

The Grantland baseball writer started playing around with a tool on Baseball Reference, then Tweeted several interesting statistics, such as how Carlos Delgado (in 2000) and Billy Herman (in 1935) had the most doubles (19) in the month of July.

So I looked up a few random, A's-relevant statistics — all in the Oakland era (1968 to now). This is apparently the only free tool on B-R, I tried looking up pitching stats, but the first 15 results are behind a paywall.
