Remaining schedule incl. possible pitching matchups

Ready for the stretch run? Well, let's find out who will be matched up against whom the rest of the way...

I basically counted each team's schedule down, slotting one starter per game while skipping over off days, so especially later in the month the matchups could be quite different depending on rest/injuries and the incorporation of off days (in fact, since our last three series match up rather poorly -- Anderson v Millwood followed by Milone v Hernandez, for example -- we ourselves would probably benefit from mixing it up toward the end).

So here goes:

9/7
@SEA
Hernandez v Griffin

9/8
@SEA
Iwakuma v Anderson

9/9
@SEA

Boy, this sounds bad, but besides the Haren v McCarthy matchups it's hard to find many games where we should be straight-up favorites, though I'd probably take Parker over Britton and Milone over Sanchez; in addition, depending on whether the Yankees rotation shakes out as anticipated here, we should be favored for 2 out of 3 against the empire and probably in 2/3 of the 2nd series against Seattle. It almost seems that if we somehow hold on against this schedule there's no reason to think we can't go all the way.

Oh, and this could affect the A's in their last series against Seattle (though probably not its chance at a series win):

UPDATE:

“The way (pitching coach) Carl Willis drew it up, Millwood and Beavan get two or three more starts each and Noesi and Ramirez get two apiece,” one Mariners source said.
