Well, we've made it through five innings, and although I wouldn't have given a dollar for it earlier, so has Jarrod Parker, polishing up what could have been an ugly start into something respectable. The A's have tacked on another; it's 8-3, going to the sixth!

Well, we've made it through a whole two innings so far. It could be a really long night. Despite being spotted a 5-0 lead before he ever took the mound, Jarrod Parker has had absolutely nothing today and will be out of the game soon. He was lucky to only surrender three runs over his two innings, and has left A's fans longing for his last start, where he received exactly zero run support. We go to the third, it's 5-3 A's. They need to a) score or b) hold on. Don't get too comfy!

"Fasten your seatbelts, Mr. Cotroneo". After the A's put five (yes 5!) runs on the board in their half of the first inning, knocking Perez out of the game, Parker had a less-than-smooth start to his own inning, but allowed just one. We go to the second. FUN, THIS IS FUN!
