After all the anger directed at Chavy for his "get off my lawn" comment, I was filled with mixed emotions. I always liked Chavez, and never blamed him for his poor contract. He was really good before his injuries derailed him and I appreciated his honesty in dealing with them. For some reason, him joining the Yanks didn't bother me until reading his comments today, unlike my instant dislike for every other ex-Athletic that joined the Evil Empire. But his chiding of the A's did piss me off. It felt similar to an ex-girlfriend/ex-boyfriend disregarding a previous relationship.
