It's a big series for both teams starting tonight. The A's are looking to start their brutal road stretch with a victory tonight against one of the AL hottest starters, Max Scherzer. The A's counter with rookie extraordinaire A.J. Griffin. It's certainly a contrast of both tonight's starters and offseasons - the Tigers spending tons of money on Prince Fielder and having a flame-thrower starting tonight, and the A's dumping salary and established pitchers for prospects while countering tonight with a heretofore unknown finesse guy.
Just don't strike out another 17 times against Scherzer this time, k guys?
