I live in L.A., and I want to travel up to Oakland for a few of the potential playoff games (should they happen).

I did manage to snag some tickets to the Wild Card game, which would be on Friday, October 5th.

Due to the nature of this new playoff system, I'm a bit confused as to when the ALDS Game 1 would be - if the A's are indeed the top WC team, ALDS Game 1 would NOT be in Oakland, right? Meaning that the first A's home ALDS game would be Game 3 of the series (Tuesday, October 9).

Is the above correct? Trying to figure out which days I'd have to travel for the game.
