A new (Jewish) year, a new beginning for the A's. It's time to brush off Sunday's loss and start a new winning streak! It's the year 5773 and I hope the New Year provides Dingerz, Winz, and Manischewitz Wine.

L'shanah tovah!

Homework

Good Guys

Bad Guys

Probables

1) Series Outcome (3 pts)

2) Battle of the biggest schtickle mensch: We have a showdown Wednesday evening as Brett Anderson squares off against Justin Verlander. For both, predict the IP/H/ER/BB/K (2pts each, 20pts possible)

3) Goysaltic! The A's have the best road record in the American League by a slim margin. List the four best road warriors, in order, after Thursday's games. (2pts each, 8pts possible)

4) Oy vey: Home Milone=Mensch. Road Milone=Schmuck. Predict his IP/H/ER/BB/K (2pts each, 10pts possible) For funzies predict how many balls and strikes he throws within five pitches. (3pts each, 6 possible)

5) When you're here, you're mischpucha: The A's are playing like one big happy family. And our happy family can hit the long ball. How many HR's do the A's hit in the series (3pts). Name as many players as you want that hit a HR (2pts each). But for every incorrect guess, you must deduct 2pts. (Many pts possible)

6) Ay-Yay-Yay:

A) How many different uniforms do the A's wear? (1pt)

B) How many starts for Trogdor (Chris Carter)? (1pt)

C) How many steals for the A's? (1pt)

D) How many decisions for A's starters? (1pt)

E) Do the A's gain ground on Texas? (1pt)

7) Matzah ball soup for the soul. For 1pt tell me your favorite Jewish style food!

Good Luck and may the Schwartz be with you! Go A's!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

P.S. During services the congregation holds a prayer (Meesha Berra) for those that are in need of healing. Everyone goes around saying a name that needs prayers. I said Coco Crisp with the hopes that we can heal his conjunctivitis. #reformjews
