Continuing a home ten-game home stand in which they've gone 3 - 4 against the Rays and Blue Jays, the A's look to Jarrod Parker to get them back on track after splitting the four-game series against the Jays. A's will look to stay in contention in a three-game series against the Angels who are .5 games behind the A's and the Tigers (Tied for 1st and 2nd wild cards).
Jarrod Parker threw a quality start last Wednesday, giving up three runs over 6 innings against the Tampa Bay Ray, but ended up taking the loss as he struggled with his command. Starting for the Angels will be Jered Weaver who has won nine of his last 11 starts since picking up the loss in a game way back in May in Texas. Winning eight straight, his previous outing was also in Texas but allowed only two runs in 6.1 innings.
