I just wrote this, and this is crazy, let's trade for Pedroia, so call me maybe...

Before I get boo'd off the site and my account banned let me say that I HATE the Red Sox and I dislike Mr. Pedroia strongly. But that dislike isn't so much in the way he plays at it is the annoying uniform he wears. Picture him in the green and gold, doing that annoying nasal clearing face thing between pitches, hitting a double off the wall...I feel my dislike melting away.

But this is impossible and a pipe dream! Maybe not, thanks to chicken, beer and Bobby V. Pedroia is a bad apple on a dying tree. Boston and the Dodgers are currently discussing a mega-deal that would send Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett (LOL), Carl Crawford and Nick Punto out of Beantown. If Dustin wasn't upset before this I bet he will be after.

So who is Dustin Pedroia besides the Devil? He just turned 29 and is signed through 2014 with a Team Option for 2015. 8 Mil this year, 10 Mil in 2013 and 2014, 11 Mil for the club option, get him out of town at age 32. I couldn't find if he has a no trade clause so I apologize if this is all for not.

I'm not writing the checks but that kind of money seems to be in the A's wheelhouse for this caliber of player. Unless we just spent it all on Drew. So a friendly contract for a disgruntled player from a rebuilding team. What does it cost us in terms of prospects? Does Straily and Weeks get it done? Would you pull the trigger on that deal?
