We have a relatively brutal last twelve series to close the year. Eight are against teams that are playoff bound or in the hunt. We have one series with the Bosox, one with the Indians, and two with the suddenly hot Mariners (who seem to be as good as anyone this second half). From here it seems like only the Indians are a push over team. I can't help but wonder if midnight is about to strike on our Cinderella year. At this point there is not a lot of returning to the mean, the teams at this stage in the year that are in contention are for real (even Baltimore I guess). With the recent acquisition Beane obviously must think that there is a shot from this place. So what is your expectation? Call your shot. Who gets the two wild card spots? How does our beloved Athletics finish? Is this a successful year if we don't make the post season?
