I'm posting this because there have been persisting issues regarding the posting of pics and images in game threads, and my assumption is that a lot of the policy violations come from posters not realizing what the policies are, as well as why they are in place.

You can refer to the Community Guidelines for the "stated guidelines" but here is a basic summary...

-- Please refrain from selecting pics/images that objectify, and that are sexual or obscene. We want to respect our diverse community, which includes readers whose comfort level may be more conservative than yours, who are minors, or who read AN at work. That is not to say we want to be a "prudish" site; it just means we want to be a site that respects the natural diversity of its population.

-- If you post a pic/image it needs to have a subject line. This is so it is collapsible if readers either want to load the page faster or do not want to view the image.

-- If you post a pic/image, it should be less than 300" in height. This is also to prevent pics/images from unduly slowing down the load times on pages. (If you want to post a pic/image and shrink it to 300" height, the way to do it is, I believe, to add "height=300" in the angle brackets after the "img src". However, someone may have more specific, more accurate instructions to offer -- if so, please note them in the comments!)
