First a's game in a long time. ticket/seating question

huge a's fan here that has been living in hawaii for the past 4 years. I finally will be able to make it to the bay during baseball season (and a little monday night raiders action) in a couple of weeks and cant wait to go to a game. Will be going to the game on sept 5th against the angels and wondering for you guys that get to go to the games all the time how i can get the most bang for my buck ticketwise with a midweek day game. is there a lot of attendance for these games? i know that its the 2$ bart wednesdays so if i buy those tickets (plaza outfield) will i eventually be able to move closer to home plate once the game starts? if i go on stub hub can i buy a field infield or field level ticket and end up in the mvp box section? how strict are the ticketing stewards? any suggestions are helpful would love to save some extra cash for some oakland bbq and beer! thanks
