I decided to combine two of my greatest loves - The A's, and writing silly children's rhymes - into a FanPost. Not quite everyone's in there, but I did my best.

Welcome to your Oakland A's,
A crew of awesome guys -
A walk-off win, day after days,
No longer a surprise.

Chris Carter is adorable,
And he was worth the wait.
He's always very scorable
When he steps to the plate.

And how about Yoenis,
Our favorite li'l defector?
When batting he's a menace,
An XBH collector.

And then, of course, is Reddick -
Young slugger on the rise.
The consummate Athletic,
The man sure loves his pies.

This awesome guy named Tommy -
Milone, to be exact -
Though I 'spect he loves his mommy,
I don't know for a fact.

Aussies? Yeah, we like 'em -
And both pitch quite spectac'ly.
Grant Balfour likes to strike 'em
Out, and Travis pitches Blackley.

We went on a Brandon binge,
Got four of them in all.
Hicks and Moss, McCarthy, Inge,
Do great things with the ball.

Jarrod's been a blessing,
A youngster with a clue.
Like salad with nice dressing,
This kid is good for you.

The 'pen is quite reliable,
With Jordan, Scribs, & Cook -
And Doolittle's a viable
A's closer, in my book.

Griffin is a great big nerd,
Great movement on his throws -
His glasses are a bit absurd
But I think he totally knows.

And sure, we got Suzuki,
And Penny and Jemile -
And though they hit like dookie,
They stink it up with style.

At the helm is Melvin,
A Bob who's not a fool -
A manager may be irrel'van',
But this one's kinda cool.

A wild ride it's been so far,
More fun than being sober -
A special group of guys they are -
Let's hope they see October!
