I know everyone's talking 'bout SS - I'm not enamored of any of the available options, at least not at a high price (= any of our higher level prospects or even current players on the team). I would be ok with (hesitantly) trading someone like Balfour...and I think we might be able to get Travis (I'm still only 24) Snider from the Jays....giving us an outfield of Reddick, Cespedes, and Snider for a long time to come. That's a pretty solid outfield, both offensively and defensively, the upgrade in offense (assumed) is more than we'd get with one of the SS' s mentioned, and provided our current SS play decent defense, we pick up offensively without mortgaging the future. Picking up someone like Snider...who while he's now on the big league team, seems like someone the Jays' would be willing to let go....Seems like a doable option that I think would be a huge win for us.
