Hey everyone. I do not comment here that often but do read AN multiple times a day... here it goes.

We have been looking for an upgrade at 3rd base since.... well since Eric Chavez's body decided that it did not want him being an All-Star anymore...

Could Nick Castellanos be our answer? He is currently a 3B although may potentially have to move to 1st Base... He seems to be athletic enough to possibly stick as he has started to take Reps in the OF (mostly because he is blocked at 1B and 3B). The Tigers also have V-Mart returning next yr to further clog up the picture. The Detroit Tigers seem to be perusing the League for pitching, which happens to be a surplus for our team.

I have really enjoyed following Dan Straily's career through our system and am eager to see him make his MLB debut for us sooner rather than later, but I think I would strongly consider trading him straight up for Castellanos if Detroit was willing to make the trade.

If the A's were to offer Dan Straily for Castellanos would that be a done deal? Who hangs up first? If not, Straily what package would you be willing to trade for Castellanos?
