Hello, and welcome to the final game of the Bay Bridge Series for 2012. Unfortunately, the A's have managed to lose 4 of 5 games thus far, the last 2 in the worst way possible. For all the good luck the A's managed in Coors Field a week-plus ago, baseball regression kicked in, and all the bad luck happened in these past 2 days. Indeed, Brandon Moss' 3 error performance has made everyone quickly forget his AL POTW honors just 6 days prior.
Today, the A's face a tough customer in Matt Cain. Mr. Perfect Game has had two decent starts since then, and is looking to continue the streak against the A's. The A's are simply looking to avoid the sweep at the hands of the Giants.
