I'm really getting upset with the A's situation regarding moving to San Jose, which with our owner is probably the quickest, most realistic way for the A's to get a new stadium in the Bay Area. I think it's absolutely absurd the Giants territorial rights, that we GAVE them, are being used as the holy grail by them to stop a move fourty miles farther away. (this is not a Oakland vrs. San Jose argument, please argue that somewhere else). I want some satisfaction and think I know how make me feel much better till its resolved.

How unfair is it that they have double the rights in the bay area, AND one of the best stadiums in baseball. And we have half the territory and one of the worst.

Baseball, is already the least fair of all the sports, and getting worse by the year. The NFL controls T.V. Rights and splits the money equally to all teams.

In MLB the teams control their own rights. So you have some teams getting Billion (not an exageration) dollar T.V. Deals and others at most getting several million. Things are going to get much, much, worse between the haves and the have nots. We are getting doubly screwed.

What can we do as A's fans to protest the Giants being classless thiefs why MLB sticks their head in the sand? What can we do to actually get their attention?

I propose to get a large group of investors (say 1000 A's fans) to pitch in $5 apiece and start buying up major pieces of Giants memorabilia, and here's the kicker.........then burn it. Have a legal bonfire party at the beginning and end of every season, with as much Giants memorabilia as we can buy, each and every season, till they get it. Famous game gloves, bats, worn Willy Mays jerseys, Barry Bonds home run balls, signatures, pictures, rings. We own it, we can Burn it all.

If you have some basic Giants gear you need to dispose of, you can throw that in the fire also. Raider fans were able to collectivly put up billboards, we shouldnt have too much trouble getting some scratch together for this and it will be money well spent.

They ultimatly may or may not change their ways, but I'm not going to be angry at them anymore. Instead, at the end of the day, their going to be angry at me. We WILL get their attention. We WILL get their dissaproval. Let A's fans do the screwing for once.
