Tyson Ross takes the mound against his former teammate Trevor Cahill who starts for Arizona at Salt River Fields. I hope the A's can show the world that Trevor Cahill is not the pitcher many think he is and that we stole Jarrod Parker, Ryan Cook and Collin Cowgill away from them. That said there was an interesting report this morning (the source eludes me now) that said rival GMs think Billy Beane "must know something" re: Cahill to have shipped him... doo... dooo.. dooooooo.....

In other news the A's today demoted Erick Threets and also placed RHP Joey Devine on the 15-day disabled list. The other roster news is that Daric Barton will not be demoted but also will not be traveling to Japan yet with the club. In other words Brandon Allen looks to be the Opening Day first baseman but hasn't been assured an Opening Day in America job...
