Can't wait to play fantasy baseball again
I usually play with my brothers and my cousins and after a season where I went about 14-2 or 14-3 or something like that and went on to win the whole thing (in a H2H points league) I bombed hard last year in a roto league and finished either last or 2nd to last. I’m looking forward to having a bounce back year this year. Maybe I should start paying attention to sabermetrics more because that what my older brother did and he either won the whole thing or finished top 3. Anyone wanna tutor me lol

I know Yahoo is “partnered” with SBNation, but goodness gracious.

Just on an "FYI" basis, because many readers may have missed this discussion a while back,
these kinds of posts generate revenue that is passed on directly to our front page writers (who are otherwise not paid). The community has generally embraced them not because any of us are thrilled, inherently, at blending advertising with FP content, but because it offers a way for our front page writers to get paid a little for all the time they put in. That’s the only reason we choose to participate in “sponsored posts,” and promotions, like these, and I think the only reason the community has generally been ok with them.
I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal

fantasy league
hello all! although i’ve been an athleticsnation.com stalker for a couple years, this is my first official post! how exciting =) well i love playing yahoo fantasy baseball but usually just join a public league and do not interact much with my opponents. I thought it might be fun to start a private yahoo fantasy league for a’s fans. that way we all would have something in common/ have something to talk about. also it sounds to me like it has the potential to make fantasy baseball even more fun… which i am of course in favor of. anyway if you’re interested leave a comment and if enough people sound interested i’m all in favor of starting up a league! go A’s! ps i live in dayton, ohio and am the only oakland athletics fan as far as the eye can see… and a while beyond. i also picked up my reserved copy of moneyball as soon as the store opened and have watched it about 15 times so far, which shows an impressive amount of restraint

I had about 5-6 teams last year and didnt pay attention to most of them after a while so I kinda planned on joining less this year
But I think joining one extra league wouldnt be so bad. I usually just do em on ESPN so I guess I’d just have to get used to the Yahoo leagues. But I think I’d be up for it
I'm down to join a fantasy league with some folks from here
If this looks like it’ll get off the ground, Andrew please create a new fanpost with details on joining…
if anyone is interested. i started one with some more saber-friendly stats.
so no RBI’s or wins. follow the link to all the info on Beyond the Box Score or ping me if you questions.
