Selling 1st Row Home Plate season Tickets- Face Value (sec 118), 9,18,or 36 game package
For sale are some of the best tickets in the stadium to watch the Oakland Athletics play baseball in the 2012 upcoming season. There are 3 seats together in the first row of section 118. Refer to the picture below of the people sitting in the first row. That's where these seats are!! I am not looking to make any money, only to sell the tickets at face value and be able to keep the rights to these great seats. There is a 72 game package, of which 36 games have been committed to. No games have been selected yet until the final 36 games have been committed to as well. I am willing to package them either in 9, 18, or a 36 game group. Once the buyers are in place, we'll have a selection draft to allocate the games. This year is a great schedule for the A's. The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox come to Oakland twice. The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants will also be in town. Coupled with the Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Angels, who have made significant additions with star players, this proves to be a season where some great talent will be passing through Oakland. The ticket prices are face value at season ticket prices of $38 each. There are also VIP parking passes for each game and the cost of those are $9 per game. Assuming you could ever buy theses seats from the box office, regular ticket prices are anywhere from $45 to $69 each, depending on the opponent. Regular parking prices are $17 per game. So the actual cost is $123 per game. Please leave your name and contact information if you are interested, as well as the game package that works for you. Again, these are about the best seats you can get and the limit is only 36 games that are available. I AM NOT SELLING INDIVIDUAL GAMES, only commitments to purchase and select a package of 9, 18, or 36 games. You can contact me as well at <corevet@prodigy.net)

Hey, first of all welcome.
We can’t really devote Fanposts to individual sales (although a “swap meet” Fanpost, putting all possible sales together, might be a cool idea). Can you repost this as a Fanshot? I’ll leave this up for a bit to make sure you get my message. Gracias.

I've been hearing about a "swap meet" fanpost for years now.
I’ve tried to sell games for my own ticket in 117 a number of times over the years, with very little success. Maybe this is because it is (relatively) expensive; maybe because it’s just a single seat.
Can someone explain to me the difficulty of setting up a “swap meet” type of fanpost? Baltimore has a place in front of the ballpark (on stadium property) where you can go, sell your ticket(s) at face value or less, under the watchful eye of security, without fear of being busted. Seems that AN would be the perfect place to construct a virtual version of the same thing.
Losing this team would be a huge failure for this city and an affront to Oakland’s great sports legacy.
It should be easy -- if someone wants to construct such a fanpost, bed it once or "once/month" or "once/week",
the community can give it enough rec’s, like happens with the DLDs and Community Prospect Lists, to keep it at the top for a while. Probably sufficient would just be to clearly title it “SWAP MEET POST” or something. If it became an “every Monday” or “last Sunday of the month” thing, no doubt people would start looking for it and responding quickly to opportunities.

How about something more permanent?
Like a link that would remain on the front page and could be added to at will by those with tix to sell.

Hmm...I can ask Blez if that's doable
(It might be, I just have no idea.)

I've inquired within and all I get is
the sound of that annoying Tibetan bowl.
