It is being reported by Jon Heyman of CBS that the Athletics have signed SS Hiroyuki Nakajima to a 2 year, $13 Million deal with an option for a 3rd year.

It looks like this will fill the hole at shortstop left by the departing Stephen Drew who signed a one year deal with the Red Sox.

I did not see this reported yet, so I figure id throw it out there. My apologizes if this is being covered elsewhere on AN...

Nakajima hit .311/.383 with 13 HR 74 RBI last year in the Japan Pacific League (sorry for the old school numbers, maybe the SABR crowd can enlighten us further on the man's offensive prowess)
