Top 10 A's Prospects according Basebal America

I've always liked the work BA does each offseason making an analysis of each farm system, projecting lineups and ranking organization prospects.

This year, A's ranking was full of good prospects. Probably all the top 10 prospect has a very good shot to reach the majors (most likely this won't happen, but in paper, this is a real possibility) and that's a reflection that the farm is in position to sustain our 2012 success for years to come.

Some surprises I saw on the rank, is how low Straily was rank, given his season in the Minors, even our own ranks put him on #2, most of opinions is that he is a top 3, and BA rank him as 6, with Peacock and Gray going over him.

Other surprises came on their projected line up for 2016. That's a really good lineup!! Good combination of power and speed, nice rotation, and even leaving top prospects out like Grant Green (they believe Weeks still have the edge at 2B) and Chris Carter (not longer a prospect, but graduated with a very good season, but BA believes Head will take over 1B)

2B Weeks

SS Russell

CF Young

DH Cespedes

LF Choice

RF Reddick

1B Head

3B Robertson

C Norris

I would add bench players like Stassi, Carter, Nunez and Green

Overall, it gives me a good impression that the A's are contenders for good, and our farm is ready to support that success.
