I vaguely remember this as a kid, for some reason I decided to look up the 1986 Oakland Athletics on Baseball-Reference.Com and they played a 6 series against the Orioles. Yes a 6 game series. I did some research via internet about what was the exact reason was that it rained out for two games in Baltimore a week and a half before. Best and so far only link I could find was from the L.A. TIMES regarding this 6 game series.

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A's have scheduled two twi-night doubleheaders with the Baltimore Orioles next Thursday and Friday to make up for games rained out in Baltimore this week.
The doubleheaders, replacing what were originally scheduled as single night games, will start at 4:05 p.m. both days, a spokeswoman for the American League team said.
*That said, here are the 6 games thanks courtesy of Baseball-Reference.Com
Day 1 of the 1st Double Header
Day 2 of the 2nd Double Header
Day 3 of the Series
Day 4 of the Series
Okay there are the box scores.
Now there is no way in heck this could happen now, but I found it really interesting and wanted to share it with other A's fans. If any of you remember this or went to this 6 game series it would be greatly appreciated to hear your stories about this. As stressed before I found this very unique and it something the A's would be involved with, it also doesn't hurt when you take 5 out of 6 from a team.
Thank you and enjoy the rain in the Bay Area with this tune.
