People say "What the (fill the blank here) am I going to do?" A's baseball has ended and friends, co-workers, or whoever has gotten on that stupid wagon, (that people on AN) wish the wheels would fall off, on the Giants bandwagon. This is one of my favorite times of the baseball season. Yes, baseball is non-existent during these cold, frigid months, but everyone can think of the offseason, through this metaphor. A caterpillar over time changing into a butterfly, or what everyone can relate to. Some bully knocking over your blocks in kindergarten, and you, frustrated that you have to start over: REBUILD!

So far, the A's made some questionable moves. Of course, we know about the Chris Young trade. Letting a great defender, but Adam Rosales like hitter, to hit the desert to hopefully have a hot bat, in Cliff Pennington. Chris Young, who is in fact, a great ball player, reminds me of Rajai Davis. A speedy guy off the bench. The drugged out Bartolo Colon, who is in the green and gold, for another year, baffles me. I won't get into this conversation, again, too much. I just want to say that Billy should've made him disappear, and pull a rabbit out of his hat, and out pops an underrated pitcher. Finally, the odd man out, of a Black Friday like outfield. Jonny Gomes hits Beantown, a Petaluma native, and a hell of a batter. Oh, I forgot about Tyson Ross, but who wants to remember the 2 win, 100 loss record he had? The player, whatsisname in Andy Parrino, doesn't strike fear, for the assorted cashew mix, that is the SS position (Cliff sounds good, right now.). At least if he dons the number 3 (give it up Gallego), I've created a cool, new nickname, AP3!

This is when the A's change, the face of the team. We'll have a new, favorite player, like any other year. The question I'll always have, during every offseason. "How good will our team be next year?" I'm like a kid (well I still am) on Christmas Day.
