Hey! Haven't written a fanpost in a while, I was too busy watching the most awesome season in the history of mankind unfold before me. Sorry. So, who's making the postseason roster for our AL West Champion A's? (I almost passed out again reading that) Well, looks like the rotation will be Parker, Milone, Anderson, Griffin. I like that, but I wish Anderson was ready for game 2, Milone on the road is not a great option, even if it's spacious Comerica. But hey, if this year has taught us anything it's that anything can, and will, happen. The postseason will be no different. Here are my calls for the playoffs!
New York over Texas in 5. CC and Kuroda best the depleted Ranger rotation, and a few would-be fly balls sail over the Yankee Stadium right field porch for the pinstripes. Hamilton's final game as a Ranger ends in bitter defeat.
Detroit over Oakland in 4. Because I'm not an idiot. There shall be no jinxing. Also Cabrera and Verlander are good baseball players.
Cincinnati over San Francisco in 5. Cueto is the most underrated pitcher in all of baseball, and Lincecum and Cain are among the most overrated. Cincy's lineup pounds the Giants at Great American.
Washington over Atlanta in 5. In what I expect to be one of the greatest division series of all time, the pitching-laden Nats outlast the pitching-laden Braves. GIO!
Detroit over New York in 7. Verlander pitches twice. So does whatever horrendous starter the Yankees throw in game 3 or 4 of this series.
Washington over Cincinnati in 4. 4? Really? Yeah the Nats are going to cruise through the NLCS with ease.
Detroit over Washington in 7. Because the team that comes out of the ALDS not featuring the Yankees will win it all.
