You don't get to see your team play on your birthday too often (unless you're a Y@#$%^s fan) when you were born on October 10. But thanks to the A's, not only will my team be playing on my birthday, but I get to go, too.
I was really upset when they announced originally a noon-ish start to today's game. "Crap... I've got to work 'til 2 pm" (I'm a teacher and really don't think it's appropriate to take the day off- after all having an awesome job is a great birthday gift too)!
But now they've moved the start time to 6-ish, and I'm as happy as... as happy as... I need the mandolin dude to tell me just how happy I am.
Fosse: "Brian, you get to go to an A's playoff game on your birthday, how great is that?"
Brian: (rolls eyes, wriggles uncomfortably in chair) "On a scale of one to ten, Foss, this rates an ELEVEN."
BTW it's also the birthday of Yoenis Cespedes
Can't wait.... ever onward A's!! (don't think that's as catchy as "Let's Go Oakland", but what the hell).
