Could A’s Grab Gomes, Dump Allen And Turn Oakland Into Manny-land?
That would put Kila Ka’aihue at first base in Sacramento, and five outfielders in the four outfield and designated hitter spots – Grant Green, Michael Taylor, Brandon Moss, Jason Pridie and Jeff Fiorentino. And if the A’s did end up adding Manny, then that might land Chris Carter back in the first base/designated hitter picture at Sacramento as well.

Yes they could do all these wonderful things, and they could even win a baseball game sometime soon!
They’ll get 162 opportunities, but don’t cross your fingers because Beane, Wolff, and Co. are finding themselves in tough economical times. Having said that, please hold on tight and prepare for the worst because even with a new stadium, Beane may not be able to compete with Texas and LAA.
Oakland hasn’t had a good team since 2006 and when this whole scenario ends, it could be well over a decade of losing seasons for the Oakland A’s.
