Announcing and Score Keeping at the Coliseum
Seriously, it's been getting progressively worse over the last few seasons:
Yesterday's infraction:
De La Santos pitched to 3 Mariners and never even got displayed on the pitcher board. It literally went straight from Cahill to Outman. We also had a bunch of pinch-hitters and pinch fielders only get announced 1 or 2 at bats after they were on the field.
In previous games this season, counts often wrong or late. The game I went to a couple of weeks, they had Suzuki at Catcher until Landon Powell finally got to hit.
Has anyone else noticed this, have they just given up as well, am I just becoming a crumudgeon (sp?) or does nobody really care?

Not that hard. Happens on broadcast visual summaries as well. Minor league
Well - I am glad you had your radar gun there to keep track.

The people in front of me moved.
Two whole seats over. So they could see better. The usher didn’t do a thing. Sheesh.
Losing this team would be a huge failure for this city and an affront to Oakland’s great sports legacy.
I heard that you can take a large beer that's not completely full and pour it into a small beer cup.

Actually it was that you can take a full large
And pour it in the small. It made the national news last year as one of the biggest concession scams in sports.
noticed that too
Actually, I think the pitcher board went from Outman to Fuentes, skipping De Los Santos. They definitely are getting sloppy on the announcements, making scorekeeping tough, not that I keep a perfect scorebook anyhow.
Yes you're right...
Sorry described it wrong. It had Outman’s pitches just go up and De Los Santos might not have existed. Regardless it’s just plain sloppy.
