Portland does Moneyball
While there isn't going to be any green carpet rolled out here, we do have our own connection to Moneyball in these parts, as Scott Hatteberg learned to play baseball on the sandlots of Salem and Canby. CmdrKhraanik and I are planning on going to the 7:30 showing at Pioneer Place; we'll be meeting beforehand at Paddy's on Yamhil at 5:45 for some grub and a beer. I'll be wearing my Rickey jersey, so I shouldn't be hard to spot. Oh, and I answer to the name Aron, most days. I know there are A's fans here - maybe it's just because I notice them, but I'm pretty sure A's caps in town are only outnumbered by Cubs and maybe Red Sox caps. And Giants bandwagoners in the last year, but those are disappearing. I'd love to meet other NRAFers out here.

I am out of town.
But I definitely plan to see it sometime after I get back home. Wonder how the turnout will be (both ANers and general public)? Have fun!
