I like the look. Very clean, very easy to read, even for aging eyes.

But we’re spoiled by the elegant functionality of the regular site. Not having the ability to use Shift-A and cxcxcxcxcxcx makes mobile commenting very frustrating. It’ll be fine when you’re at the game and want to post “Hey guys, did that look like a strike on TV?” but not for full gamethread participation. Glad to know there’s improvement in the works though.

Yeah

The product guys are taking all that feedback right now. And they’re going to release an update once they get everything. The commenting will definitely be improved.

Who does your IPhone dev?

I suppose I could just look it up, but asking is faster.

cxcxcxcxcx?

Losing this team would be a huge failure for this city and an affront to Oakland’s great sports legacy.

Athletics Nation

Cool! Now I would like to be able to have it start at Athletics Nation.

Rotoworld?

That’s why I used to switch to the ‘full site version’.

No Android?

Boooo

Believe me

I’m dying for an Android version as well. The beautiful thing is that the dev team will be able to make all kinds of changes on the iPhone and when it launches on Android, it should be really close to being perfect. BTW Android should be out by the end of the year.

the best feature of the SBN format is the automatically updating comments.

The fact that this feature is not included in either the mobile site or the iDevice app is… weird.

Agree completely

The auto-updating is what makes this site so freaking addictive.

new comments

Similarly, tracking new comments regardless of whether you are reading on the app, website, or both.

It'd be awesome to be able to get to all the parts of the site.

Including fan posts, fan shots and archives/overflow gamethreads.

Also commenting should not take you to the top of the page, it should return you to the same point on the page.

And even if it doesn’t auto-refresh, if you manually refresh, somehow mark new comments as new.
Also, have a page down feature.

Yeah I've already passed that along

I’m pretty sure that will be a part of the first update.

by Tyler Bleszinski on Aug 26, 2011 7:24 AM PDT up reply actions

I mean, seriously, adding ANOTHER ad to the page? Is that necessary?

At least adblock can block this one completely.

We've designed it as such

To where it should keep your previous sessions indefinitely until you elect to log out. If for whatever reason it doesn’t, please don’t hesitate to let us know at support@sbnation.com
