Many of you remember my post from earlier in the year when I had the absolute honor and privilege of playing ball for a week at Papago Park in Phoenix with Dave Henderson, Campy Campaneris, Shooty Babitt, Mike Moore and a group of really great guys. Well, it's coming up on that time again, and I wanted to extend an invitation to my friends here at AN to join me this year. And yes, this year, Rickey Henderson and Ken Griffey Jr. will be among the coaches for the camp. Imagine, getting a lesson in base stealing from Rickey!

Yes, I know, it's not cheap. Things are tight this year for me too, but if I have to sell a kidney or two, for a chance to play with Rickey for a week, I am going to find a way to do it!

This really was a very special trip, and it has proved to be the gift that keeps giving. Last week, all the campers from last season got to play in the Coliseum after the Orioles/A's game. It was pretty sweet watching Clay Wood get the field ready for us to play. And stepping into the box and launching shots into the seats was an incredible experience. Ok, so those were the seats behind the A's bullpen, but they were seats nonetheless! And when a group of us AN'ers went to visit Papago during Spring Training, because of the friendships I made with the clubhouse staff, they ushered me right into the players clubhouse like I was one of the team! Remember that shot of the AN'ers on the field at Spring Training? Again, a friendship I made at Fantasy Camp.

At the reunion game, the staff from Dave Henderson Baseball handed us a video of highlights from the camp and our very own baseball cards!

So, if you are in a position to go, it would be great to have a friend or two or three from AN play ball with us this year. In my years of being a member of this wacky family called AN, I have made some great relationships. And our common love is our beloved A's. As diehard A's fans, this has to be one of the top experiences you can ever have.
