The Nestea Banner ads
These ads are getting ridiculous. I really want to be able to read ElCroata's new post during my lunch break, but having these gigantic banner ads on the side with girls in swimsuits make work reading really, really awkward. I can't even scroll away from them. Ads are becoming more and more obtrusive every day.

Agreed.

I have found the only way to really make it work appropriate is to shrink the size of the window
but then you lose the chicks in bikinis. I guess you can’t win em all.

I shrank the window to read at work.
I personally am fine with bikini pictures, but it’s definitely bad for at work.

FYI, I sent a note to SB Nation about it

If possible
Get AdBlocker on Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. I used to have that problem (along with the Bud ads), but luckily my company allows alternative browsers, so I nixed IE for almost everything internet related. I haven’t seen a questionable ad here at my desk for a long time now.
Yes, adblock works.
No, we shouldn’t have to use it.
Hey at least we don’t have sponsored posts, right?

DURRRR THEY’RE TOO OLD, BABIP IS TOO HIGH, TOO MANY Ks, DURRRRRR
I use Adblocker all over the place
SBN can stuff it if they don’t like it.

I can choose software etc on my home computer,
but at work those choices are made by someone else. I can’t exactly go to my boss and say, “please install Adblocker on the computers so that I can read Athletics Nation without getting pictures of women in bikinis.”
I assume I’m not the only one who doesn’t control the software on their work computer.

dunno about you guys
but that chick on the left….NICE.
I accept the ads because they pay for the site – simple as that, capitalism at work.
It's just more exciting with Billy Beane running the team.
Not complaining about the ads in general
however, this particular one, as nice as it might be to look at, is NSFW, at least for some of us.

Nothing wrong with looking at a nice woman
But I don’t need to see it as part of an ad on AN. I’ll go looking for it myself if I want to see it.

I use firefox to get rid of the ads
The problem I have now, though, is that I have to reload the AN site in order to sign in. Does anyone have a fix for this?
i've never tried to rank them to be honest. i guess i like beer.- stm72
